Establishment & Academic Overview

Ragas School of Nursing was originally established in the year 1992 under the management of S.P. Educational Trust, Chennai. Subsequently, with Government approval, the trust was transferred to Ragas Educational Society, Chennai. The institution was relocated from No. 527, Poonamallee High Road, Arumbakkam, Chennai – 600106 to its present campus at No. 2/102, East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai – 600119 to conduct the Diploma in Nursing programme from the academic year 2008–2009.

Ragas School of Nursing offers a Diploma Course in Nursing with a duration of 3½ years, which includes 6 months of compulsory internship. The course is approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu vide G.O. Ms. No. 363 (PME), dated 29.10.2009. The institution is committed to providing quality nursing education with strong clinical exposure and professional training.

Ragas Educational Society was founded by Mrs. K. Vijayakumari, M.A., B.Ed., with a vision to promote excellence in healthcare education. Ragas Dental College & Hospital is also a constituent institution under the same educational society, reinforcing a strong academic and healthcare ecosystem.
